This position is responsible for general staff accounting duties, with a heavy emphasis on general ledger, cash management, balance sheet, bank and credit card reconciliations, and forecasting cash against payables. You will use multiple accounting systems for multiple clients.
Located in Roswell, GA,, we provide outsourced accounting, Controller and CFO services, HR, and management consulting to companies in all industries, with a heavy emphasis on government contractor accounting. We strive to be an integral part of our client’s team.
Client Services: Manage and perform client services in all areas of competency. Client services may include:
-All G/L postings
-Systems implementation support
-Month-end close processes
-Month end and year end management report production
-Provide accounting support for multiple clients
-Communications with vendors and government agencies
-Assist with invoice preparation for clients
-Broad accounting system “help desk” type support to clients
-Preparing and processing ACH and Direct Pay transactions and appropriate accounting
-Preparing schedules in support of month end closings
-Analysis of financials and historical files for problem resolution
- Heavy balance sheet reconciliations/Analysis
Requirements and Qualifications
-Must have 3-5 or more years’ experience in accounting, preferably in government contracting arena, cost accounting, or construction industries where you are required to do perform project cost accounting and accrual-based accounting.
-Job costing/accrual based accounting knowledge highly desired
-Must have prior experience using accounting systems
-Must have excellent communication skills, able to read, write and speak fluently and professionally, with correct grammar and spelling in written and spoken work.
-Must have strong skills in MS Office, especially in Excel.
-Must have strong math skills, able to compute percentages, as well as other basic math functions.
-Must be a quick learner and have strong computer skills.
-Must have excellent interpersonal skills, able to build relationships in person and on the phone with vendors, co-workers and clients.
-Prefer prior experience with job costing.
-Strong working and implementation experience with QuickBooks or Certified QuickBooks Pro-Advisor a strong plus
-Deltek, MS Dynamics, or JAMIS experience a strong plus
-Prefer an accounting degree with high GPA in your major.
-Must have strong attention to detail, ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment, ability to respond quickly to requests, meet deadlines, and perform with initiative and self-direction. Must be willing to help where needed, anticipate needs and have strong interpersonal skills.
